The Ikv 103 is a Swedish Tier V tank destroyer, known for its high-velocity gun with excellent penetration, good accuracy, and high camo values.

Tank destroyers (TD), are specialized armored vehicles built specifically for taking out heavily armored tanks. On the mini-map they are indicated by a green or red inverted triangle.

The Ikv 103 lacks a turret, so the gun has limited left to right movement: it requires turning the vehicle’s hull, which results in slower aiming and camouflage penalties. It has very thin armor and mediocre health points which means it will lose in almost any direct confrontation. Snipping is not advisable either because of the poor shell velocity and accuracy.

You get 2 guns to choose from, the kan ikv 102 and 103. The 103 is just a bit better.

So how to we play Ikv 103 on the Prokhorovka map?

First let’s have a look at the official World of Tanks video explaining the Prokhorovka map. You should focus on finding positions that allow you to engage enemies from a distance, where your good penetration can be utilized and your weak armor won’t be a major liability. This means you should stay near the edges of the map, hiding in bushes.

West Spawn – Prokhorovka map :

• C1 elevated spot, or the b2 ditch for the top map
• H1, J2 for the bottom of the map

East Spawn – Prokhorovka map :

• Elevated sniper positions in B9 for the top of H0 for the bottom

This player is spawned top center at A4. He quickly goes to the right side of the map – to the F0 area. From there he has good visibility over the entire right side of the map up to the railway.

Once situation gets heated he moves to D8 where he can spot the enemy tanks that got to his old position F0.
